This article is intended for students and describes:
1. The Temporary Free Access period
2. The two methods to pay for a course: credit card or access code
3. Codon's refund process.
TEMPORARY FREE ACCESS PERIOD
Visit the Course Access tab on the right side of the Codon App to check on the access status of your course and pay for your Codon subscription. Courses begin with a temporary free access period. The temporary free access period is 21 days for a semester course and pro-rated for shorter terms. When you visit the Course Access tab, you will see the number of days remaining in your temporary free access period. You can choose to pay for the course at any time during the free access period.
Once the free access period expires, you will no longer have access to course materials. You can only go to the Course Access tab to pay.
METHODS TO PAY
There are two methods that you can use to pay: credit card and access code (see below).
CREDIT CARD PAYMENT VIA STRIPE
Click "I'm ready to pay now using a credit card." You will be directed to Stripe.com to enter your credit/debit card information.
ACCESS CODE
If you are a student that has financial aid, you may get an access code from your university's bookstore. Codon Learning does not know which students require an access code, we provide codes to the university bookstore.
Students at some institutions (as well as those enrolled in Life in the Universe courses) will only have the option to enter an access code, and will not see the option to purchase with a credit card.
If you are enrolled in a Life in the Universe course, you must purchase the Life in the Universe 5e Digital Bundle. Only the Digital Bundle provides access to the e-book and the Codon Learning courseware.
HOW TO GET A REFUND
You may receive a refund for Codon Learning courseware within 7 days of purchase. Please submit a support ticket or email support@codonlearning.com to request a refund.
For Life in the Universe students, you will need to contact the location where you purchased your access code.
