We encourage instructors to create their own interactive items in any Pre-class, Homework, Readiness Reading, Prep, and Practice Test assignment.
How to Create a Custom Item
- Access the "Assessment Builder" from the Daily Planner page when creating an assignment.
- Click on "Add Items" in the breadcrumb path.
- On the right-hand side, scroll to the bottom and click on "Create Custom Item" and a window will pop-up.
- You must select or create a Learning Objective (LO) that will contain your custom question. Click "Create Question" on the bottom-right corner of the window.
- Name your question then click the "+" to access different question types.
- Select the type of question you want to create by clicking directly on it.
- Create and edit the question. You can add images and links in different question types.
- Click "Save & Add Details" on the top-right of the window any time you make any changes
- Click "Save & Exit" on the bottom-right of the window when you are done editing the question.
How to Add a Custom Item to an Assignment
Custom items are not automatically added to an assignment. You must select the newly created item from the left-hand panel and click the "+" symbol to add it to the assignment.
