How to validate an access code or pay for Codon Learning

  1. The first time you visit your course you will be taken to the Course Access tab. This is where you can validate an access code or pay for your course or see how many days are left in the temporary free access period. Visit the Course Access tab at any time by clicking "Course Access" on the right side of the dark gray site navigation menu.
  2. Your course will start with a 21-day temporary free access period (it may be shortened for accelerated terms like summer sessions). When you visit the Course Access tab, you can see the number of days remaining in your temporary free access period and your payment status.

  3. You can choose to validate your access code or pay for the course at any time during the free access period. Once the temporary free access period has ended, you will not be able to see your course or complete assignments until you have paid using one of the two methods described below.
  4. To pay, most courses have two options. You may be restricted to just one option if your institution's policies require it.
  5. To validate an access code:
    1. Click “I have an access code”. 
    2. Enter your access code and click Verify Code. 
    3. Where do I get an access code?
      • If you are a student that has financial aid, you may get an access code from your university's bookstore. Codon Learning does not know which students require an access code, we provide codes to the university bookstore.
      • Depending on your institution's policies, you may receive an access code as part of an inclusive access program. 
      • If you are enrolled in a Life in the Universe course, you must purchase the Life in the Universe 5e Digital Bundle. Only the Digital Bundle provides access to the e-book and the Codon Learning courseware.
  6. To pay with a credit/debit card:
    1. Click “I'm ready to pay now using a credit card”. 
    2. You will be taken to a Stripe page to enter your credit/debit card information.
    3. Once the payment is successfully submitted, you will be returned to Codon.

  7. Get help from Codon Learning on their support page by creating a support ticket, or emailing support@codonlearning.com.

 



HOW TO GET A REFUND


You may receive a refund for Codon Learning courseware within 7 days of purchase. Please submit a support ticket or email support@codonlearning.com to request a refund.


For Life in the Universe students, you will need to contact the location where you purchased your access code.
