You will be working with one of our Educational Support Specialists (ESS)
Email your Educational Support Specialist for support at any step in your Codon Learning journey.
1. Get started with Codon
Schedule a meeting with your ESS to talk about your course preferences and ways we can support you.
Contact your Learning Management System (LMS) or IT administrator about integrating Codon with your LMS (template email).
Contact your bookstore (template email).
Join the Codon Community Slack Workspace to live-chat with your ESS and to connect with other instructors using Codon.
2. Build your course

Add a new course tailored to your schedule. (HOW-TO)

Assign LOs and preview content using the Course Planner

Build the student onboarding assignments

Build each assignment type:

pre-class and readiness readings

homework

Study Path

Set grading policy presets

Add Codon questions to each assignment type by LO

Writing custom questions, including response and survey-style questions
3. Set your students up for an smooth start

Incorporate slides provided by your ESS into your first day slide deck.

Customize a sample message to include on your LMS course page and/or syllabus

Publish assignments, including student onboarding assignments

Set up LMS integration and enable sync for all published assignments.

Review how to sync student grades

Check out the student performance page features

Final check of your course prior to student access date.

Correct course access date (when students can first access your course).

Assignments are published and open dates are set correctly

No unaligned questions in assignments.
