If you are making changes to the order of topics that you teach, this article will show you how to move the topics and LOs and realign your assignments and assessment questions. I recommend the following steps in this order:

1. Move topics and learning objective to a different class session

2. Move assessments

3. Move assessment questions

4. Realign your Study Paths

Each step is described in detail below.

1. MOVE TOPICS AND LEARNING OBJECTIVES TO A DIFFERENT CLASS SESSION

Go to the Course Planner page. Click on the triple dots to the right of the Topic title (this may be easier if you toggle to Topic View). Click Move "Topic Name" to another class session".

Select the class session that you want to move it to or cancel:

2. MOVE ASSIGNMENTS

Click on the Assessments page and click on the blue button that says "Update Pre-class and Homework Status and Dates." This will allow you to change the open, due, and late date for each assignment. Changes to Study Path Prep and Practice Test Dates must be made by opening the Study Path Builder for each Study Path assignment.

3. MOVE ASSESSMENT QUESTIONS

If you've made significant changes to topics and assignments, it's possible that the questions in your assignments no longer align to the class days covered by that assignment. You can get a preview of the LOs associated with questions in any assignment by mousing over that assignment's timeline pill. If the LOs don't align to the class days covered, you may need to move some of the questions in the assignment.

Click on the assignment to enter the assessment builder. Click the 2nd step, "Add Items." Next to each item in the assignment you will see an arrow button. This allows you to move the item to any other assignment in the course.

4. REALIGN YOU STUDY PATHS

If you have moved several assignments, it is important to check on each Study Path to make sure that the assessments selected for review in Checkpoint 1 of the Study Path are correct.

5. MOVING PRE-CLASS AND IN-CLASS RESOURCES
