Option 1: Preview assessments authentically, as a student. *Note that this approach does NOT work for the Study Path.
- Click the Student Preview button at the very top of the page.
- Navigate to a desired assignment by clicking on its bubble on the calendar or its title on the Assignments tab.
- Start the assignment.
- Answer questions as a student would. You'll need to indicate muddy or clear before you can submit your answers.
- Make note of any changes you'd like to make to the assignment (e.g., questions to remove, etc.).
- After completing your preview, make desired changes:
- Return to Instructor View
- Navigate back to the assignment.
- Advance to the Add Items tab (if it's a homework) or to the Prep Questions or Practice Test tabs (if it's a Study Path).
- On this screen, the left 2/3 of the screen is the library of ALL items, filtered by our best guess of what you'd want to cover on that assignment. The right 1/3 of the screen is the list of items that are assigned on that assessment.
- Use the buttons on the mini-cards on the right to remove an item, rearrange items, change the points of an item, or bump an item to a different assessment.
Option 2: Preview assessments conveniently, as an instructor.
- Go to the Assessments list and click on the title of a homework or Study Path you'd like to review.
- This will open the Details tab for that assignment. Advance to the Add Items tab (if it's a homework) or to the Prep Questions or Practice Test tabs (if it's a Study Path).
- On this screen, the left 2/3 of the screen is the library of ALL items, filtered by our best guess of what you'd want to cover on that assignment. The right 1/3 of the screen is the list of items that are assigned on that assessment. Click on the title of the top item in this list on the right.
- This will open the an item preview window. Use the forward and back arrows in the bottom right to navigate through all of the items assigned in that assessment. Use the blue action button in the top right to remove questions you don't like. You can also use the dropdown to move the item to a different assessment if desired.
- Once you're done reviewing an assignment, return to the Details tab and publish the assignment to make it visible to students. They won't be able to view or start answering the questions until the open date has passed.
