How to unlock a practice test

1. Complete assignments to make questions appear in Topic Cards on the Study Path

Students complete their Pre-class and Homework assignments. As they complete those assignments, any topics associated with questions in those assignments appear in the Study Path, so that they can review questions they missed or marked muddy. This also occurs when the due date for an assignment passes.

2. Answer questions or "Skip for now" to move topic cards to Checkpoint 2

Once a topic is on the Study Path, students are able to move it from left to right by answering questions they missed, or if they want, they can "Skip for now". We enable skipping to provide some flexibility for students who have limited time/bandwidth.

3. Answer Prep questions or "Skip for now" to move topic cards to Checkpoint 3

Once a topic lands in Checkpoint 2, Prep Questions become available. Students can choose to do the Prep Questions at this point, even if the topic hasn't been covered in class yet. By answering Prep Questions, or by skipping ahead again, they can move the cards to their final destination, Checkpoint 3.

4. Unlock the practice test by moving all of the topic cards to Checkpoint 3 or wait until there are < 3 days until the Study Path due date

If a student has completed ALL of the Pre-class and Homework assignments associated with that Study Path AND moved the topic cards to Checkpoint 3, they can unlock the practice test. This means that all of the assignments associated with the Study Path must also be open and available to complete.

The Practice Test unlocks 3 days before the Study Path due date regardless of the position of the cards or assignment completion.
