How to link your Brightspace/D2L and Codon Learning courses

1. Log into Brightspace/D2L and access your course.

2. Click "Content" in the upper left of the top menu.

3. Click the grey middle tab "Existing Activities". From the dropdown menu select "External Learning Tools".

4. Scroll all the way down and click "Create New LTI link" button.

5. Add a "Title" to the link (e.g., "Codon Learning"). Add the URL provided by Codon Learning in the LTI URL textbox. The Tool dropdown should automatically update to "Willo Labs 1.3" (if using LTI 1.3) or "Legacy LTI Tool" (if using LTI 1.1). Then click "Create and Insert".

6. Click on the link you just added to your course. Select the correct Codon course (you may only have one in the list). Click "Save Selection." You will never have to repeat this step.

**If Step 6 doesn't open a new window or tab, you may need to click on the chevron next to the tool link, select "Edit Properties in Place", and then check "Open as External Resource"

7. Close the tab, reload your LMS page, and click the Codon link again.

    a. This should launch the "Course Overview" page of your Codon Learning course.
